Why Good Nutrition Is Important?



Nutrition is something that focuses on how diseases, problems, or conditions can be prevented with a healthy diet. Similarly, it identifies how certain conditions, or diseases caused by food allergies, food intolerance and poor diet (malnutrition).
There are three types of nutrients i.e. a) Micronutrients, b) Macronutrients or c) Vitamins.
  1. a)    Micronutrients:

  2. Micronutrients required in small quantities like
  •    Minerals
  •    Potassium
  •    Chloride
  •    Sodium
  •    Calcium
  •    Phosporous
  •    Magnesium
  •    Zinc
  •    Iron
  •    Manganese
  •    Copper
  •    Iodine
  •    Selenium
  •    Molybdenum
  1. b)   Macronutrients:

  2. Macronutrients do not provide energy but still important to the body.
  • Fiber: It is a crucial part of health and nutrition.
  • Water: Water is very important because without water one can suffer dehydration.
  1. c)    Vitamins:

  2. Vitamins are classified into two parts that are water soluble (vitamins can be dissolved in water) and there are 9 water-soluble vitamins for humans (8 B vitamins and vitamin C). And second is fat soluble (vitamins can be dissolved in fats) and there are 4 fat-soluble vitamins (vitamins A, D, K, & E) for humans.

Importance of Nutrition

As I said above that nutrition is very important for our bodies, our choices in foods affect our health. How you feel today, or how you will feel tomorrow or in the future will solely depend on your food you intake every day and your food contain how much nutrients. If you want to lead a healthy life then you need good nutrition. It will reduce your risk of chronic diseases like heart diseases & cancer and it promotes your overall health.
  • Good nutrition maintains your Immune system:

    Immune system of your body is to protect you from infectious organisms but you need to make your immune strong and it needs a proper intake of minerals and vitamins. You should eat fruits, vegetables, and low-fat food to maintain and strengthen your immune system.

    Good nutrition helps you delay Aging:

  • Eating food with lots of nutrition is overall healthy but some foods help you glow your skin which looks ever shine beauty or forever beauty. Some foods like berries, tomatoes, nuts, fish, and avocados all contain minerals and vitamins that are very good for your skin. For instance, berries contain antioxidants that promote cell regeneration for new skin. Tomatoes contain vitamin C which helps your skin look firmer.

  • Good nutrition gives you Energy:

  • The foods and liquids you consume, your body derives energy from that only. As in water is very necessary for your body and dehydration causes a lack of energy. It consists of carbohydrates, iron, or vitamins. Fatigue, irritability and low energy may be caused by a deficiency of Iron.
