Does Organic Food Spoils Faster?

Does Organic Food Spoils Faster?
Organic food is really good for health; you all know it very well. People choose organic food over conventional food because it doesn’t contain any chemicals, poisonous pesticides, or any drugs to remove weeds on their plants, or to preserve it with waxes and chemicals.
Organic food has a shorter shelf life as compared to conventional food. Organic food spoils faster as they are grown naturally without any synthetic pesticides, chemicals, waxes, and preservatives of fruits and vegetables.
Therefore, organic food is more vulnerable to bacteria build-up and other elements. Conventional vegetables and fruits, on the other hand, expected to be stronger because they always treated with many chemicals and food additives, waxes, and preservatives.
One research was conducted by Janice Lieberman, who is a consumer correspondent, and according to her, the shelf of organic food is short. Janice Lieberman tested Broccoli & Lettuce and came to the conclusion that they both had a high level of bacteria in it that can cause food to spoil but not the kind that can cause illness in one’s body.
In simple terms, organic food like fruits and vegetables are never treated with preservatives and waxes to the same level that conventional vegetables and fruits are treated; therefore, organic food spoils faster indeed.
As people also say that, it is not necessary that the problem of faster spoiling organic food is only in farming techniques like it is not only embedded in the quality and use of the chemicals while it is growing. But how they produce, how they handle, and how they deliver the food are all reasons that also discover how often fruits or vegetables will spoil.
If you have a question that whether or not to choose organic foods because they spoil faster, so, remember this: Organic foods do not contain any type of chemicals, or use pesticides, or use toxic additives but possess 19 to 69 % antioxidants than conventional foods. Even if organic food is spoiling faster, it is a small price that we can afford rather than consuming conventional food that is not good for health.
