How Many Calories Should We Intake In A Day?

A calorie is the total number of units of energy in the human body. According to the nutritional source, all the food that contains fats, carbohydrates, sugars, and proteins are all the important sources of calories for the people who need to function properly and to live healthily.
Every single cell in our body needs the energy to function properly in its most favorable state, whether it is our muscles or our brain. If our bodies want to get enough nutrients that calories provide, then we need to nourish our brain right and our body right. There are also negative consequences, if we are not getting enough nutrients like we will lose muscle mass, we won’t be able to concentrate on anything, and we will fail to get the energy that we need on a daily basis.

How Many Calories Should We Eat Every Day?

How many calories should we eat per day is generally measured by a Doctor, and it highly depends on our age, sex, height, weight, and level of physical activities. However, there’s a traditional insight that women shouldn’t eat less than 1,200 calories and men shouldn’t eat less than 1,500 calories per day to ensure a balance of micronutrients and major nutrients.
It is also no good if we are consuming more or fewer calories than our body requires every day. If we intake more energy than we need, we will end up overweight. And if we intake less energy than we need, we will lose the required fats, muscle mass, and we will lose weight. Our brain uses about 20% of energy from our body each day. We should always eat our breakfast in the morning, it will help us reduction and maintenance of our weight and energy.
Our Calorie Intake Is Highly Based On Our Physical Activities.

A Person Who Is Very Active:

If a person is exercising every day for an hour or more than an hour or if a person is working a highly physical job, then women need around 2,000 to 2,500 calories every day and men need around 2,500 to 3,000 calories every day.

A Person Who Is Moderately Active:

If a person who exercises for 30 minutes to 60 minutes per day, then women need around 1,900 calories every day and men need around 2,500 calories every day.

A Person Who Is Slightly Active:

If a person is walking between 5,000 to 8,000 steps each day, then women require 1,800 calories per day and men require 2,200 calories per day.

A Person Who Is Sedentary:

If a person is walking less than 5,000 steps, then women require 1,600 calories per day and men require 1,800 calories per day.
It is very important to maintain our calories because a high amount of calories in our bodies will risk our health and even a low amount of calories in our bodies do the same thing. So, we should balance it properly.
