Bananas are everyone's favorite and they are all-seasoned fruit. You can eat banana anytime, from children to elders, it is everyone's favorite. They are transportable and inexpensive too.
Bananas habitually are rich in potassium, but they have also other nutrients such as vitamins and minerals.
Bananas got many health benefits. They help to regenerate your muscles, fight inflammation, helps to hangovers and aids your digestion system.
They are extremely good for people who have asthma, diabetes, depression, and cancer.
There two bananas which are green banana (unripe banana) and yellow banana (ripe banana)

Green Bananas(unripe)

Benefits of unripe bananas:

  1. Unripe bananas contain low sugar content, so if someone wants to avoid high sugar content in bananas, then green bananas are a healthy option for them
  2. People with type 2 diabetes can freely eat unripe bananas
  3. Green bananas have probiotic bacteria that help maintain good health, and they have rich in nutrients and mostly they have calcium in it
  4. Unripe bananas make you feel full quickly because they contain highly starch content.

Disadvantages of unripe bananas:

  1. Green Bananas are not tasty as yellow bananas, obviously, they are unripe, so they taste less sweet than a yellow one
  2. They lack antioxidants
  3. They can cause gas in your body because they contain a higher amount of starch content.

Yellow Bananas(ripe)

Benefits of ripe bananas:

  1. Yellow bananas help to digest easily as the resistant starch starts changing into simple sugar when bananas ripe
  2. They contain a high amount of antioxidants in them
  3. Yellow bananas contain potassium, vitamins, magnesium, lots of fibers, and phosphorous
  4. Yellow bananas are sweet and soft and have a pleasing taste.

Disadvantages of ripe bananas:

  1. Yellow bananas are high in sugar content and it leads to diabetes in a person unlike green bananas
  2. They have to store in the refrigerator because outside a cold place, they start losing their minerals and vitamins.

Bottom Line

It doesn't matter if you are eating a green banana or yellow banana both have their benefits. If you want to avoid sugary content, you can go for a green banana. And if you want a high level of antioxidants, then you can go for a yellow banana. Both are healthy and nutritious.
